Virtuoso Layout Lens is a Windows desktop app that views, validates and edits interface files against their published layouts. Open a file and it detects the interface, rebuilds the record hierarchy and flags every problem down to the field, before you submit the file.

Florida PALM layouts included
Ships with the current layouts for all 59 publicly available interfaces in the Florida PALM Interface Catalog, built from the official layout workbooks. You can add other interfaces from their own layout workbooks.
Automatic detection
Recognizes the interface from the file name, or from the file's content when the name doesn't say.
Clear record hierarchy
Shows header, line, distribution and other child records nested the way the interface defines them.
Field-level validation
Checks:
- required fields, lengths, numbers, dates and valid values
- field counts and unknown record codes
- child records with no parent
- declared record counts
Jump straight to problems
Step from error to error. Each problem is highlighted in the record and in the original line.
Edit and save
Correct values in place and save the fixed file (text files; spreadsheet uploads are view and validate only).
Reads every common format
Pipe-delimited and CSV files, fixed-length files, and Excel spreadsheet uploads (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls).
